Winterberry Farm Primitives

This blog is now devoted to gardening with native plants with a focus on those species native to the east coast of the United States. With an MS in Agricultural Science from the University of Delaware and my love of native plants, I hope to help folks see the beauty and necessity of using native plants in your garden instead of exotic plants. Did you know that our native song birds and native insects are disappearing as our local environments continue to change?
For those who come to this page to see my 'Winterberry Farm Primitives' blog can now be found at where I will post new additions to my online antiques shop at and discuss various subjects about primitive antiques.

Future Announced Updates at the Winterberry Farm Primitives Shop!

Hello everyone!
We have had such a great response to the first announced update/sale that we had in August at our online shop, Winterberry Farm Primitives, that we are going to have more announced update/sales! An 'announced' sale is one where we send out emails to our update/email list giving our loyal followers a sneek peek at what will be available for sale. We will, of course, announce the update/sale to everyone who goes to the site and reads the blog, BUT the email list will be the first to know the date of the sale and see a sampling of some of the things that we collected for the sale! We search the known universe - OK - we scour the local antique flea markets, tag sales and private sales - to find you that wonderful little (or big) thing that you just have to possess! Our next update/sale will be in either late September or early October - depending on the timing of the Country Sampler photo shoot and will contain some GREAT things for fall and Christmas! We will also again include a door prize drawing so send us your email address, if you are not yet on the list, and keep your fingers crossed!
By the second week of September, we will reveal the door prize for the next update/sale here on the blog and also at our online shop! Just click on the small picture of my logo in the side picture display of this blog to go to our shop!
